Canal City
The City of Kaohsiung is an important southern port city of Taiwan. Bound by the sea and original irrigation canals built in the Qing Dynasty, the city thrives on water. A railroad line divides the Zuoying District into a traditional West side and a trendy East side — a canal network can effectively link the two by providing transportational, recreational, and storm-drainage benefits.
Foster City Elementary School
The San Mateo–Foster City School District sought to modernize their then 26-year-old campus. Beyond repairing roof damage, the plan called for an enlarged administration, library, and large-group instruction space. The layout created a private shared courtyard between buildings — matching the existing architectural language while adding modernity through innovative materials and structure.
Assimilation
As a first-generation Taiwanese American immigrant, I understand the process of assimilation that an immigrant goes through. This process, revealed in a series of photos, has a universal pattern — beginning with avoiding and antagonizing the mainstream culture and moving toward final embracing. It exhibits in immigrants of all ages and backgrounds.
kiteworks Microsite
To increase product adoption at the end-user level, I designed a series of user-focused microsites showcasing the top use cases for kiteworks end users. The concept: limit the clicks and scrolling needed to surface useful information — top uses, tutorial videos, FAQ, and links — all in one focused place.
kiteworks App Videos
A series of reference application demo videos showcasing the potential of the kiteworks secure content platform with working sample code. The ER App for Google Glass helps a physician retrieve patient data and consult specialists hands-free. Oops! Insurance for iOS automates the interactions between an agent and a policyholder after a car accident.

A fresh redesign concept for the classic board game Settlers of Catan, for iOS. With real-time chat and intuitive drag-and-drop controls, players compete and trade valuable resources to get ahead and expand their empire.
